South By South West is een jaarlijks innovatie-evenement in Austin, Texas. Tienduizenden vernieuwers uit de hele wereld komen dit jaar vanaf 8 maart 2019 zes dagen bij elkaar om over nieuwe trends, ontwikkelingen en gevolgen te spreken. Om met elkaar te brainstormen over de toekomst.
Vast onderdeel van het programma is het SXSW Pitch Event. Vijftig startups presenteren hun idee voor een high profile publiek van media, investeerders, experts en overig publiek. Het niveau van de presentaties en de kwaliteit van ideeën is onwaarschijnlijk hoog, ook omdat deze 50 finalisten geselecteerd worden uit meer dan 800 (!) aanmeldingen.
Een van de categorieën is ‘Sports and Performance‘ en deze week werden de finalisten in deze categorie bekend gemaakt. Zeer de moeite waar om in te duiken voor wie op de hoogte wil blijven van de laatste innovaties binnen de sport!
